David BovisManaging Director - David fulfilled various roles to Director level in engineering / manufacturing companies serving various markets prior to joining forces with Ken Baker to form Duxinaroe. |
David has been deploying Change to organisations across Europe since 1994, from shop-floor to Board-Room. An indentured plastic mould-making apprentice, David was educated in TQM/World Class Manufacturing (Lean) techniques in the late 80's / early 90's, subsequently leading many change initiatives in respect to strategy, structure, systems, tools and techniques.
For more than a decade he has studied esoteric subjects, to better understand and maximise the success and sustainability of organisational development and performance improvement programmes. These studies combined with his extensive experience led to the development of proprietary & practical models now known as 'The Dux method©'. This 'method' addresses the detail of changing 'Human Factors’ to clearly make the link between individual performance, systemic / social conditions, organisational performance and profits. Davids models have been presented to organisations such as the FSA, GSK, FIAT, CNH, RCSSC, Deutsche Bank, DVB Bank, Honeywell, Invensys Rail, HP & 3M to name but a few. David has been published on the subject of 'The psychology & neuroscience of culture change' in The Chartered Quality Institute’s ‘Quality World Magazine’, The LERC sponsored ‘Lean Management Journal’ and the Cambridge based PMA (Performance and Measurement Association). David has also been selected as an associate Lecturer by The University of Buckingham Business School, to deliver on the Leadership and Change modules within the MSc in Continuous Improvement in the Public Sector, due to start in the spring of 2016. |
Ken BakerOperations Director - Ken brings an approach he developed through his 24 year corporate life known as '4A' to compliment the 'Dux' stable. This underpins his many successes in change programs and projects globally. |
Since leaving the RAF in 1989 as a technical trainer Ken Baker has amassed 24 years of corporate experience in L&D roles ranging from operational training to strategic National and International L&D managerial positions, working in blue chip organisations including Kimberly Clark, Amec and Raytheon Systems Limited.
Ken’s breadth and depth of experience equips him to analyse business needs, design appropriate strategies and interventions and deliver truly efficient and effective development of your employees’ capabilities that are results focussed while remaining clearly and tangibly linked to your business plans. With his extensive experience Ken is ideally placed to support the Dux Method and other development requirements in a practical, detailed and pragmatic way. Ken also brings his own methodology to the table in the form of his 4A's approach; Awareness; individuals must be aware of the what, where, why, when and how regarding the required change. Acceptance; having been made aware, individuals must consciously reason and accept the need for the change if they are to commit to making it happen. Application; without application the previous steps amount to communication only. In most business scenarios an applied change in behaviour must occur for the business to achieve a benefit. Achievement; having made a conscious change in behaviour both the individual and the business need to see the resulting benefits in order to reinforce the behaviour and qualify the original need for change. |
