A couple of short messages that will, maybe, get us all thinking a little. David Suzuki sums up what Dan Brown brought to our attention with Inferno .... and then there's this portion of Charlie Chaplains amazing speech in 'The Great Dictator' ... Both happened to land in my inbox today, and both challenge the Keynesian economic model that sits at root of the greed based fast paced world we all take for granted. For my systems thinking friends, this really is 'boundary critique'!

This is a solid and worthy provocation, David...we are way overdue to reexamine the notion of 'growth' in real terms i.e. not as economic theory. I for one am keen to see a wider debate about the values acted out when as individuals, organizations and societies we 'Go for growth'.
