Doesn't it make you wonder why we push ourselves to work until the early hours of the morning to keep up with a stressful workload?
Or, through the use of targets, which we typically have no part in defining (and thus, no method of 'owning', leading to cognitive dissonance and stress among other disassociation issues) why we create conditions in which we chronically increase the release of stressor hormones, which also have a negative impact on the brain... and why we don't train these things to leaders as part of leadership CPD? After all, it is the leaders of organisations who can influence a healthy and happy lifestyle for their employees, often more than the employees can influence a better work life balance for themselves... and as the old saying goes 'A happy worker is a productive worker'. Sometimes I think the popularised approach to leadership just doesn't go deep enough.
